We woke up early today to get out and see the city centre of Brussels. It was absolutely freezing, 5 degrees and Bruce's ears got frost bite. Or so he claims! Our hotel was a quick walk to the centre, and on our way we saw the Brussels Stock Exhange! We then stopped by at the famous Manekin Piss - the little boy weeing in the fountain, and then finally strolled through Grand Place. Photos can't even do Grand Place justice, it was just a 360 degree view of the most amazing architecture and statues.
We said goodbye to Brussels, and then hopped onto a 1hour train to Bruges. On our way out, an elderly couple from England told us that we were the highlight of their trip to Brussels. They were exploring Belgium for their 70th birthday.
